If you are pregnant or have just had a little baby you should join the Baby Center community. I am now on my second pregnancy and I became a member during my first pregnancy and I like to visit the Baby Center website at least once per week to rad up on how my baby is growing and developing in the womb. They have great discussion boards and baby and toddler news. The Baby Center website has great information for every mother and mother to be including mothers themselves who chat all about what it is like to have a baby and be pregnant.

Online Banking at its Best

Business — Administrator on February 27, 2008 at 8:28 pm

I use Banknorth online banking to keep track of all of my bank accounts and needs. I love to be able to check my bank balance from any computer at any time as well as see what has been charged and what is pending. I can even move money between bank accounts using the online banking system. If I have any questions regarding a charge I can jut fill out a from on the website and a rep will get back to me in about 24 hours. I can’t even remember what it was like when there was no online banking, it must have been a pain in the butt to keep track of finances, especially when you were away from home.

Wood Stove vs. Oil

Home Impovement — Administrator on February 18, 2008 at 11:01 am

My home is heated using Oil and forced hot water. Because of the price of oil these days, and the fact that the price is going to keep going up, we have decided to heat our home during the daytime hours with our wood stove. Not only has it been very effective, but it costs next to nothing and it keep our home warmer than our radiators do. Our wood stove is located in our living room where we are the majority of the time, so we stay nice and toasty all day long.

Cold Beverages in the middle of the Night…..mmmmm

small fridge

My husband asked me for a interesting birthday gift for his last birthday, he asked me for a fridge for our bedroom. He wanted to be able to keep cold drinks in our bedroom so that when he gets thirsty in the middle of the night he doesn’t have to go downstairs to the kitchen to get a drink. At first I thought he was crazy, but now that I did get him one, it really does come in handy. I looked online at many different models of small fridges and such and the BEST buy and the BEST fridge for a space like a bedroom is a small dorm fridge and they only cost about $80. You can fit lots of drinks and if you would like food and such in it too. I feel this was a good purchase and I would recommend to anyone who feels they need a cold drink in the middle of the night too.

Why Book Early?

Travel — Administrator on February 4, 2008 at 7:54 am

I have been looking online to get some airfare tickets from Boston to For Lauderdale and I have been looking for about 2-3 weeks off and on and believe it or not as I got closer to my departure date the price went down! If you think booking early always gets you the best price think again. My fare went from $171 to $79 for the same flight in a matter of days. I saved a lot of money and I am very excited. I book with Airtran.com and I have flown Airtran before and they are a fine company to fly with.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at Superbowl XLII Halftime Show

Sports — Administrator on February 3, 2008 at 12:42 pm

I have to say that every since the whole Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake tragedy at the Superbowl halftime show the guests at Superbowl have been very boring and bland. They won;t even go young, they now pick old country singers or singers who they know will be boring and not thrilling. The Superbowl halftime show is supposed to be fun and entertaining and although Tom petty is a great singer, he is not going to put on a show, just boring old songs probably. Maybe next year the NFL will come up with a better Halftime singer like Britney Spears, now wouldn’t that be fun!

Minstrone Soup from Martha Stewart

Food & Drink — Administrator on January 30, 2008 at 10:53 am

I love to watch the Martha Stewart show each weekday morning and she always has great ideas and recipes. On todays show Martha made a minestrone soup, which is my favorite soup and it looks sooo tasty. Making homemade soup can be fun and it will taste much better than from a can I am sure. I will surely try to make this soup myself when I feel in the mood and I can’t wait. Go here to view the recipe and Martha Stewart dot com.

Oil Prices going UP UP UP….

Home Impovement — Administrator on January 25, 2008 at 8:21 pm

I have oil heat in my home and the cost to heat my home is costing me more than double what it has cost in the past years. It is very hard to keep the heat up in home when you just don’t have the extra money in your wallet to do so. I cannot believe the price of oil and the price is just going to keep going up and up. Luckily when we bought our home there was a wood stove. The people who lived here before did not live here year round, and their only form of heat when it was cold was a wood stove, later on they added heaters. So, we will definitely be using our wood stove every day now this winter to save on our oil costs. I do love the smell of a wood fire, so this isn’t soo bad, but still annoying to have to deal with this whole oil crisis.
